What is the history and popularity of the app?

ESPN is one of the most popular resources for all things related to sports. Online, ESPN becomes the ultimate sports portal. The team currently includes Mobile Engineering Director Sujal Shah and Staff Software Engineer Brian Jackson. ESPN began as a cable television network (which stands for the Entertainment and Sports Programming Network). It originally launched on September 7th, 1979, founded by father and son, Bill and Scott Rasmussen. Today, ESPN is headquartered in Bristol, Connecticut and has become one of the most renowned resources for sports information and entertainment.

What are the differences to other apps?

The size and capacity of ESPN Go makes it stand out among all other sports related websites. Its roots go back to the original ESPN television network, which has put decades of sports coverage under the company’s collective belt. While some smaller sites can only handle thorough coverage of a handful of sports, ESPN covers just about everything. Even international games and lesser known college events. ESPN Go taps into a vast network of sports knowledge and coverage to bring users the most relevant and up to date content available.
